Latest Gold Conversation Series talks to Citi wealth management clients to look at alternative investments, from art to jewelry to timepieces
When
one hears the word “investment”, some of the ideas that easily

the recent Gold Conversation Series entitled “Important Jewels &
Timepieces” organized by Citi Philippines in partnership with
Salcedo Auctions, experts discussed the essentials and advantages in
acquiring certain types of timepieces and jewelries, particularly
diamonds, as investment pieces. The exclusive event was opened to
clients of Citigold, Citi’s wealth management service in the
country.
Citi
Philippines CEO Batara Sianturi, one of the many who took an interest
in examining the accessories on display, stated: “We are here to

During
the affair, diamonds were proven to be not only as a girl’s best
friend but also a superior investment. Salcedo Auctions president
Karen Kua-Lerma stated how diamonds never go out of style and
explained its inherent and stable value. She further elaborated the
use of combining diamond’s 4C’s and advised the clients in
selecting the right kinds of diamonds.
Salcedo
Auctions watch specialist Jojo Bailon, on the other hand, talked
about timepieces and the appealing statement of its portability and
storage. He also reminded clients to do their homework before buying
and to keep an eye on the watch’s condition. Moreover, Bailon
enumerated critical things that the buyer interested in collecting
watches should consider.
After
the talk and while the cocktails for the evening were being served,
the clients freely roamed around the venue, and looked at the choice
timepieces and jewelries with renewed interest, seeing these as an
attractive way to enhance one’s income after retirement.
